I don't think it's all doom and gloom like some these guys are posting, but you will need to spend about $3000 on wheel and suspension upgrades. Decide if this worth it for you and go from there.
It's pretty much a given that modern day diesel trucks are 4 tons with almost 2.5 tons up front and the rest in the rear. The drive lines, frames and cabs are all bigger and heavier than of yesteryear.
