While this topics comes up often, sadly.
I have a friend that is wanting to get a truck camper and truck too. It is like beating my head against the wall trying to convince him the the logic of waiting to get the camper narrowed down, before even buying the truck. Especially sinice the wife wants a hardside with all the amenities, but no slide, and he would be happy with a pop up, with a bed, fridge and a bucket to pee in, in a half ton. So it is easy to understand the delimma that occurs. Many are unfamiliar with trucks. Yep, trucks. They have no understanding what all the different 1 tons, 1/2 tons things are. It is a truck, you put things in the back and go! How could it be harder than that!
One of the things that is nice, in this forum, is how nice everyone is to help out someone in situations like the OP is in. It is wonderful when an OP is engaged and remains a part of the discussion, rather than posting their OP and wanting others to just tell him/her what they want to hear. When the latter doesn't occur, they just disappear, unwilling to participate any longer.
You can draw your own conclusion in what the OP (original poster) has decided to do with this thread that he started.
On with the next poster that believed their Truck Camper salesperson and now is coming here for help.
