Half of my outlets not working

Thanks in advance for any assistance. I have a 2010 Coachmen travel trailer, and since I got it there are 3 power outlets that don't work. The two near the floor in the main bedroom, and the one next to the bed near the floor in the other bedroom. All of the ones near the floor don't work, while the others on walls and cabinets do, which I'm not sure means anything, but it's worth mentioning. Is there any advice you can give as to where I should be begin with this? Thanks.
  • GFCIs wear out but most likely a bad socket. Pull them out and test them with a meter for a closed circuit, should be open between the 2 slots.
  • have you actually taken the wall plates off the plugs in question to look at the wiring going / leaving the plugs?
  • I wasn't aware of a circuit breaker on an inverter as none of mine ever had one but it's a good place to start. Electricity is like water, takes the path off least resistence.

You have plugs sticking out of the wall? Isn't that dangerous? :E

The self-contained outlets used in RV's have the wires connected by just pushing them into a slot. Good place to look for problems.
