Half Ton MPG Actual vs Advertised Test

TFL Trucks did a fuel economy test on a Chevy Trail Boss, Ford Raptor, and Ram Rebel with E Torque and compared the actual fuel economy to the advertised fuel economy.

Brand____Actual___Advertised___Delta
Chevy____19.3_____20___________.7
Ford_____17.29____18___________.71
Ram_____17.9_____22___________4.1

By the way, I own a Ford EcoBust that gets terrible mileage.

I recently got 20.2mpg(not towing) on a 400 mile RT trip, in my 2014 3.5 SCREW Ecoboost F150. It was a mix of freeway, country roads and some stop and go city driving.
And since it was in Washington, there wasn't much flat driving.

i get usually average 10-11mpg towing.

I recently got 20 in my 16 3500 Cummins on a 1500 mile trip to Florida and back loaded going down.

I rented a 2019 F150 crew cab 4x4 2.7EB to haul some marketing stuff from Houston to Dallas and back. That truck made a solid 24mpg round trip. Probably would have been 25mpg without a load.

If this was a truck I purchased I would have been very satisfied with it's fuel economy and performance.
