Problem is that it's not at all uncommon for a tow rating (max trailer weight) to NOT account for the necessary payload that a trailer that size would need. It would be a good idea to check the specs carefully when approaching those limits. Payload is as important as trailer rating.
Remember also that maximum trailer weight is a manufacturers call and merely sets limits for warranty work. They apparently believe they have a reliable vehicle and are willing to back it with the numbers. The true rating for ANY brand is the GVWR and GAWR which are regulated by federal law.
