I didnt think you could be minimalist and own a new truck and trailer, but maybe my definition of a minimalist is incorrect :B
I suspect you aren't interested in taking a hit on a 2011 truck and trading it in for something bigger.
If not and you are keeping the truck, then you need to be looking at the gross weight of a trailer that will fit with your truck. I suspect you wont be able to go much beyond a 27 ft trailer, if you even need that big.
For what's it's worth, I can pull my size trailer, which maxs around 6000 lbs with a Ram and 3:55 gearing. If I was towing it all around the country full time, it would be nice to have a bigger truck, but this one is certainly capable of doing it...
