Half-ton vs 3/4 Ton

I can tell you my experience. Started towing a 30 ft tt with a 2010 f150 and had some white knuckle moments. So we purchased a Hensley Hitch and it made quite a difference in the safety of our towing. Then purchased a 34 ft tt and we realized we needed a bigger tow vehicle. We bought a 2012 f250 and we were happy with how it towed. When we were searching for a 250 we test drove a f350 and thought it was nice and we were impressed with how smooth the ride was considering it was a one ton but we did not want to spend another $2000 for it. what a mistake, we should have gotten it! Two years later we upgraded to a 5ver and then needed a one ton since the 250 was now at it limits. Ended up buying a F350 diesel dually. If you can afford it somehow save yourself the headache and upgrade right to a one ton.
