Why try to only use their GVWR's...that is the only way to know which half ton
and where one is in reference to their ratings (GAWR's, GCWR's)
Of course all personal and remind folks that the only one responsible for the
setup is the driver...even if someone else chose the parts and did the install/adjustments
I owned many half ton's and most of them are cars & 4X4's...one pickup is the HD half ton
of it's day at 6.2K GVWR with five lug wheels. One ton helper coils on the rear
axle and have towed +14K utility trailer...along with the Silverado loaded to 
over 7K lbs...and...NO WD Hitch system...just dead weight tow
Most of my comments these days are for those asking and newbies who might get
into trouble following some of the advice on these freebie sites
Again...there is NOTHING wrong with half ton's...just keep them..as with any TV
within their "TRUE" OEM ratings
