At 89,000 miles my 2010 Michigan built Ram has been just as trouble free as my Mexican built 1996 was (5 year/100k mile warranty expired last fall, unused).
The biggest differences are the ride, the quiet, and the additional 5 mpg overall in everyday driving. The original Goodyear SRA tires lasted 80K miles, smooth and quiet till the end (4/32nds).
57 years old, pickup truck owner continuously since 1978, only my second Dodge/Ram truck.
I had never considered them before, but I would buy again based upon my experience with these 2.
After owning every American brand, I would say they are as good as a Ford for the price of a Chevy.
I love the new Fords but nice ones sure are pricey.
