Well I know we love ours, and we are first time Ram owners. Tows our new to us 15,500 lb fifth wheel better than our Ford 6.0L towed our former 12,000 lb fifth wheel and gets just as good if not slightly better fuel mileage doing it. And this is with only 13k kms on it. The exhaust brake is second to none.
My biggest complaint about it is the absolute POS General tires on it.:M They have been balanced five times and I still have a highway vibration. I may have to break down and upgrade to a set of Michelins soon before it drives me crazy (or more so):)
YUP, I have been very vocal about the POS tires RAM puts on these Dually's. My POS Generals made it 25K on my 11 RAM developed a big knot on the front tire. They were 2/3 worn out at that mileage. Went with MS2's and at 40K when I traded in for another POS RAM they were 1/3 worn.
So with 200 miles on my new POS RAM I installed a set of MS2's and sold the 6 NEXEN's. I was not going thru poor tire wear and possible tire problems on the road as I did with the POS Generals.
At least I have good tires on my POS RAM. :B
I agree to a point on the tires, my 2005 came with the "POS" Michelins, they lasted 6k miles, they weren't meant for gravel roads... just like the BFGs! My 2013 came with Generals... can't remember what general but they were a "street" tire, not meant for gravel either. Had a set of Toyo M55s... over rated and over priced, couldn't keep them aired-up. Set I have on now, General AT Grabbers... really liking these, great in mud, on snow/ice and very quiet on the highway. And at a great price... goes to show, its not always the most expensive tire, is the best. Guess that's the reason I went with Ram (97-3500, 2005-3500 and the 2013-3500), great truck at a reasonable price!
