Tension rods inside the valance here too and some blackout valance curtains... all from wally world :B
I just found The Dollar Store has a whole section of curtains including the blackout ones for less than 'half' the price of Wally World! And better colors to match an RV to choose from.
Gawd, I never thought I would be so cheap BUT Walmart and The Dollar Stores in strip malls are the only place while on the road that I can park my MH towing a car and shop! :B - usmc616Explorer

I made dark curtains for our bedroom - I used expandable curtain rods - and put them "inside" the valance - works well for us!
One of the best things we did. The 3 teenagers love to sleep in and the extra curtain helps keep the bunk house dark for them. - chip_litchExplorerThere were curtains in the camper when we purchased, but wifey did sew light reducing fabric on the backs of each. The bedroom and the kids bunks stay really dark
- starlordExplorerYep on the tension rods but we use insulated curtains to help keep out some of the heat.

- hitchupExplorerWe found everything we needed at WalMart, Target or BBByd.
We use the small diameter tension rods for most of the curtains, but need a heavier duty one for the 4' longer windows. The one in the rear is a shower curtain rod and rarely do any fall when we're bouncing down the road. We just did a 4-day bounce without a single one dropping. - tatestExplorer IIAlso done it on spring loaded expandable rod, inside the valance.
- rockhillmanorExplorerWhen my day/night shades were out for repair I found that the twist expandable bathroom shower rod works great to hang curtains in an RV. No holes to drill in your RV. Picked up a couple of them at the dollar store until I got my shades back.
- Tom_M1ExplorerI purchased curtains and curtain wire mounting from Ikea. The wire mount system consists of steel wire and two attaching devices. Screw the attaching devices to the inside of the valance. You then cut the wire to the proper length. The attaching devices allow you to tighten the wire. It comes with clips that attach to the curtains and then you hang them on the wire.
- imadtchmnExplorerWe also did the same. Have dark curtains in the bedroom and lighter ones in the main livingroom / kitchen area. Love the looks of home.
