I realize I'm about to mix apples and oranges here, but on my 2005 DP from looking at the two previous owner's maintenance records I don't think either the front or rear bearing have ever been checked. The oil in them has been changed twice. It has 59,000 miles at the moment. On the right front hub I had a leak but it was from the clear plastic cap being cracked somehow? It had a steel center cap over it with a hole in the center to view the oil level in the plastic cap. Nothing had hit it, the only think I can think of is whoever installed it over tightened one of the bolts. Yes there are a lot of differences between bearings on DP vs. a TT.
