Haul Gauge??
Anyone ever use one of these? It is suppose to measures tongue weight, pin weight, payload, and gross combined weight in real-time with an OBD-II connector. I am curious on how accurate it is for a ...

I get that it is using newton second law of motion stating that force equals mass times acceleration. Using that and knowing how much force is required to accelerate, you can figure out the weight within a margin of error.
It also seems derive some numbers from your suspension calibration by your VIN and the vehicles own YAW sensors(measures vehicle tilt) which are suppose to be on all 2012 and up vehicles for rollover prevention programs. For vehicles without YAW sensors, it seems to have its own internal YAW sensor.
Wouldn't it need a pretty accurate gauge of the actual horsepower. So you would have two unknowns, the real HP and the real trailer weight plus truck weight. More HP would accelerate the same weight trailer faster. So you cannot estimate HP based on acceleration as you do not know the weight and you cannot estimate the weight because you do not have the HP. Or maybe I am over thinking it.
