On the WD angle thing, I'm not an engineer so I'll have to just trust those that are on that. But I also questioned the headwind/tailwind thing in my head and read carefully on the website how this thing works. It measures torque converter slip as the vehicle accelerates through 15 mph in first gear. I imagine it compares this with acceleration rate, and further compares it with the empty vehicle value obtained during calibration. This should be accurate, since at 15 mph wind effect is negligible. The difference between high and low profile trailers at that speed should be almost nothing. At higher speeds of course that's a different story.
Someone just needs to buy it and test it. If my truck didn't have a manual transmission I would.
