Putting 1000+ pounds of TW on a half ton without a WDH will not be fun for the rear axle. You'll spend at least $250 on a basic WDH, plus the time to set it up. If your Ram is a 3/4+ ton, drop it on the ball and go. But the delivery fee seems like a bargain. Check with the new campground owners or other permanent neighbors if they have anyone they recommend for towing/delivery.
