Earlier this week we had the opportunity to meet up with Mr & Mrs Dutchman Sport.A few weeks ago, in the "Oh No! there's snow on our trailer thread"DS mentioned they would be at a state park close to us, so we decided to take the opportunity to reserve a spot. I sent a PM and asked if they would like to meet, got a positive reply, and it was on.We awakened our trailer from it's winter slumber and headed out on Sunday afternoon for a short two hour drive to Andrew Jackson State Park in the midlands of South Carolina. Its a small park with a lake, and nature trails, and we spent a few nights visiting, telling stories of our adventures, and just relaxing.It seems that several other folks had the same idea as there were a half dozen or so rigs in attendance. The weather was balmy with warm afternoons and cool nites.All in all we had a relaxing outing, saw some shiny rigs and talked with some very pleasant folks.So, if you get the opportunity, take this message board thingy to the next level and put some faces to the names. We found it to be a cool exercise.

I have met a few from on here.And if anyone is traveling through north Louisiana you are welcome to stop by.I am trying to get one certain person to leave his lovely winter and come enjoy some warm weather but I guess he is to scared of nice weather

If you love to meet other RV'ers try RVillage, that's what they do!I get much more in the way of help here.

I have quite a few forum member friends, that I would like to meet up with sometime. Although I've never met/talked to anyone, that is a member, I'm sure there have been some, in places I have camped.It's funny, some of the members, that I consider friends, after reading their posts, exchanging PMs, I feel like I actually know them. I sure would be willing to tow a few hours to spend a few days camping with them. :)Jerry

A few years back when I had a TH we did a group ride/camp in Ocala Fl. Met some very nice folks. Keep in touch for a little while with a couple.

When I lived in Yuma and at Edwards, met quite a few. Funny, you get a picture and meet someone and they are not what you thought. One guy came off like a Rich dude. Turned out he wore a Rollex, 1st indication he didn't know it only had 1 L. He drove a beatup pickup so I just didn't tell him who I was. Sort of embarrassed.

Yes, met a bunch of folks at an outing arranged by a couple of the mods years ago. Got an RV.net T-shirt and some decals. Reminds me that my decals are all faded, are there more?

Have stayed in touch and camped with those guys a few more times after that. LAdams and crappiefisherman sold their rigs so don't see them as much.

Best was camping at Hershey Park a few years back and this guy comes over and says, "Hey are you Burbman?" Turns out it was Lantley!

Only once - SkipnChar. We were planning a trip to Skyline Drive and Skip mentioned here they were going to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Never thought of running into them.

We were camping at Big Meadows in Shenandoah NP and while walking around the CG in pulls a truck and trailer with Kansas plates. While they were setting up I asked him if his name was possibly Skip. It was!

We had a good laugh about it and then a nice conversation...

I have only met one from this site. I was hosting in Panama City Beach, FL and he was coming in to camp for a few days. Nice to put a face and hand shake with the name. I have also met a few others from other forums in the past few years. Always a fun thing to do.

Yep.. we've met several on this forum and often communicate with them. I've helped with their projects and they've helped me with things I couldn't do while recovering from being very sick. Others were business friends from a past life, and others are now ham friends as well. All great folk, even the evil mods I've met.. :) this is kind of a 360 forum and you never know who's out there

Yes. I have been a member of the forum for awhile (9 years?)and have met lots of others. Being part of Alaska groups (2013 & 2016) resulted in quite a few meet-ups and I have had members visit us at our homes in Fl and NC. All of our experiences have been positive. lizzie

I met up with someone that was local. We met at a Dunkin Donuts. Turned out to be a really strange fella. ;)
