We have an 8' with no slides, < 2000 dry. There are things I'd change, mostly regarding the bathroom, but we wouldn't want anything bigger. We travel to British Columbia and Alaska each summer and while we don't do much 4 wheeling there are plenty of places where longer would be an impediment. We spend little time in the camper. We always cook outside (except occasional morning coffee) and even on rainy days we are out under the tarps. Depends on how you camp. Also very glad now that the wife talked me in to going used....
