Doesn't matter because for our intended use, we really couldn't go much smaller. Length is no problem at 9'9" since we have a backup cam, and width is as wide as the fenders, so no problem there.
The problem is height. At 12'1" at the top of the A/C to the ground, it really limits 2-track forest exploring. It really needs to be a couple of feet lower. That is impossible with a basement hard side TC though, so it is what it is. A lower profile A/C would help, but most of the branch problems are actually at the outer edges of the roof.
This may not matter to you, but the Adventurer 116 DS is going to be 6-12" taller due to the floor being above the bed rails of the truck. That would give me pause for sure. On our recent Oregon trip I saw a sign that was indicating 12'3" at the edge of a tunnel and 14' in the middle. There are several underpasses in OR that have a 14' max height when straddling the center line (Elk Creek and Salt Creek Tunnels for example).
You could always ditch the AC...unless in the desert SW is it really needed?
We never had one in either TC...ordered the new one without. Here in NE...we just don't need it. I don't want all that weight up high, I don't like the height, and I don't like carrying a genny (except ski camping).
The FF and open windows works well for us...and runs on 12v.
I am not sure where the OP lives (NC?) but you might reconsider AC...
