We tried to wear out and blow up our 1980 Chevy LUV Mikado pickup .
We had a lumber business and we used it as a sales & errands truck .
It only had 80 HP and was 1800 CC , I think .
I drove it a lot and my employees drove it a lot .
It never got TLC . Top speed flat out might be 90 mph .
We had to wind it out in very gear .
But it got twice the gas mileage of my big block Chevy pickup .
We had it for 19 years and 200,000+ miles .
After 10 years it became a running joke that it would leave us broken down on the side of the road .
It never gave up .
It was really an Isuzu Pickup with a Chevy badge .
