The reason why I say that is because I know the Cummins has very aggressive torque management in its first two gears(**** you Ram), and there is a huge difference in taking off from a dead stop and already rolling in 3rd gear.
Believe me 900 lbft of torque is not something you want available without TM to the average Joe. There would be trucks all over the ditches. LOL
My 2005 will get sideways @ 55 mph running straight down the road on a damp road when hitting passing gear to hard.;)
