I'm finding with the more power trucks as the F150, your 0 - 60 and 1/4 mile times aren't going to be reflective of their power next to a sports car.
The reason is that the trucks are not outfitted with suspensions and tires to gain the most traction for street racing. Their suspensions and tires are designed for work, payload, and off road use.
I drove a 2016 F250 Crew 4WD XLT with the 6.2L gasser and 3.73 locker and it was plenty powerful providing similar power to my previous 2010 F150 Crew 4WD XLT 5.4L 3V w/3.55 Limited Slip. Plenty enough power to tow heavy just not as easy as a diesel that cost so much more in engine, fuel, and maintenance.
Nor should it. Pickups have such a front weight bias that they are at a real disadvantage to vehicles with a more even weight distribution. As far as using 4wd to do a 0-60 run goes, both Ford and Ram restrict shift on the fly to below 55 mph. What's the point of using 4wd to do a 0-60 run if you have to slow down to 55 in order to shift back unto 2wd?
What is wrong with going over 55 in 4wd it works fine, I hit 110 regularly with no issues.
