- parker_roweExplorerSavannah is one of our favorite places to visit! We usually stay at a KOA in Yemassee SC, and take a day trip to Savannah.
- spoon059Explorer IIAwesome! Great city, one of our favorites to visit. Lots of amazing food.
Before I went to Savannah for the first time, people would tell me their favorite part is the "squares". I had no clue what that meant. After going, I have to agree. The squares are absolutely beautiful, great open spaces in a beautiful city, make it a treat to walk/bike around. Lots of gorgeous homes to drool over when you are stopped in the squares.
Get a pizza from Vinny Van Go Go's for me (cash only, FYI) while you're there! Have a blast, truly gorgeous city!!! - tralertrashExplorerJust got back from there, hotter'n hell
- LarryLExplorerWe are heading there for the 4th. Hope it cools down.
- garyemunsonExplorer IIThere is a not-so-good Quality Inn on Bay Street that serves as a marker for directions to one of the most amazing antique furniture stores you will ever see. Jere's Antiques is right behind that nondescript lodging facility. Please, do yourself a favor and go see that business. It will be as big of a highlight of your trip as the Railroad Museum. Unless you have an enormous house, you might not find anything that will fit in your home but touring the store is a treat you will not find in many other places. The place could easily qualify as a museum!

we stayed 3 nights this past march at redgate farms. about 10 minutes from downtown. wife wanted to ride horses so we did a 90 minute trail ride at red gate. they have a guide that gives you quick lessons if you haven't ridden and rides with you. they have 8 or 10 horses there, chickens, rabbits, goats etc. nice relaxing place to stay. downtown is nice for food and shopping. red gate farms is one of our favorite CG. not much for kids to do there except swimming pool and fishing. - LarryLExplorerWe are staying at Red Gate CG. I guess this is the same place. Glad to hear good things about it. Looks like we will be spending time in the pool.
We are coming up from FL. Any advice on driving in a 29' trailer, or is it all good roads? - sgfryeExplorer

Roads are good in and out, our TT is 33ft. Zero problems
If you drive downtown at the river there are parking decks. My truck is a f250 crew cab. We parked but it was a tight fit
If we go in the future will take uber or cab from cg
Our site was b3. In my opinion best spot in the whole place
