Heartland MPG 183

Does anyone know why heartland stopped producing the Heartland MPG 183?
Was it because of quality issues or lack of sales or what? I am interested in a small travel trailer and this might work for me but I am concerned about not seeing any around.
Thanks

  • Thanks all for your comments. Very enlightening. I will look elsewhere for my TT
  • We looked at the MPG and really liked it except for the wet bath. The RV dealer told us the wet bath was a big deal killer for a lot of people, and they were going to stop selling them. This was a few years ago.

There are many choices of brands and floorplans in that size/weight class. Keep shopping is what I would suggest. If you are intent on that one, there are used ones out there for sale.
  • I heard they were being sued by RPOD (Forest River). Their site has a survey saying they may start producing again if they get enough responses, I guess.
