Yeah no coo/heat/fan for us - just on and off.
I will try that with letting the stove run. It makes sense because when I put those on to cook I often have to wait a while before the gas actually comes out. If when I click the thermostat on and the gas takes a while to get there it would fail to light. Hmmmm.
I bought it from someone who showed me the heat work the moment before I drove it home so I know it did work a few days ago.

I have the maunal right here - that is what gave me those instructions.
It says manual for models NT24SP, NT30SP, NT34SP, NT12S, NY16S, NY20S
