Heavy snow cover your ac unit
Cover your a/c unit if you are in the blizzards path . If the snow gets deep and it rains by chance the water can wick into the camper . The snow acts like a sponge . Better safe than sorry

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I don't have one of this rv covers right now... can I use one of those "blue tarps for now- just for the a/c?
