In the video they said that the Hellcat truck was 575 hp. I imagine the next Raptor will be very close to that. The real question is, what does GM have to offer?
Sounds like you get the Hellcat engine but only the black key. The big boy key might come later if competition makes it necessary.
But I thought tuning/programming a gas engine didn't do any good. :B
It certainly can with turbo/supercharged engines. Change the waste gate settings on a turbo or put a smaller pulley on a supercharger and voila, more air. Reprogram the ECM to provide more fuel to match the increase in boost and bob's your uncle.
The Hellcat comes with two key fobs. The black one gives you 500 HP and the red one gives you the full 707.
It also has a valet mode which limits it to about 200 HP and limits the car to second gear.
