Difference of opinion re needing 30 - 34' for 4 people. In our case, we camp to be together, enjoy the outdoors and relax. Our new 26 foot is plenty of space for the 2 of us + occasional guests. Again, personal opinon. Too big may defeat the purpose of time together. As mentioned, some folks are perfectly happy and comfy with a 2 or 3 bedroom 1 bath house, while others need 6000 sq ft. Just what you feel you need.
We camped with friends with a 19' HTT for years and they always wanted to end the evening in our 23SS because it was more comfy for our cutthroat dominoes in the evening....mostly true, but we had the same size dinette either way. Just the perception.
Please let us know about you tow vehicle and it's weight limitations....that could change dramatically what we recommend or don't. Remember that salesmen occasionally stretch the truth, eg towing with the VW, lol, so go armed with your numbers and don't let them tell you otherwise. Their job is to get you to sign, then it's your problem.
