Our camping trailer progression was popup - hybrid - full travel trailer. The hybrid we had for 7 years.
Any noise you hear in a tent you'll hear in a hybrid. Yes, we've turned the A/C fan on just for background noise to drown out partying neighbors. Some people use Pop Up Gizmos (thermal covers) on the bunk ends for added insulation. You can also cut some Refletix window inserts for the bunk end windows for insulation and darkening.
Besides a hitch and brake controller you'll need an RV water hose and pressure regulator, 3" black sewer hose, levelling blocks, level, and any optional items you find usefull. Don't go hog wild on accessories until you've made a few trips. "Camp driveway" is a good place to start or pick a campground close to a Wally World.
You didn't say what you're towing it with. Be careful - even a full size SUV or 1/2-ton crew cab can run out of payload real quick with a family on board.
