There is pretty much a trailer/RV for every desire and budget. The important parts are to tow it safely and get out their and enjoy your family. Your memories will be of the time you spent with your family and not of the trailer other than to chuckle years later about some quark it had.
Make a list of a couple (5-6) got to haves and go find a trailer to meet those requirement. We had a list of a couple items we wanted and a few items we did not want. Walked into RV Wholesalers in Lakeview OH and read off my list. He went and looked and returned with a list of 3 that meet my requirements. The 1st one he showed us nailed it on the head. 2nd and 3rd close but not as nice as the first. Got a good deal, service department has been great helping with some upgrades (2nd A/C) and we have been enjoying our time ever since.
Have a friend that has the Outback (queen bed slide out rear in a solid slide) and loves it. Sometimes its her and her daughter and other times she has 4 teenage kids in tow. There are many bunkhouse models out there so get off the bench and have some fun.
You know you did right when the grandbaby crawls up in your lap and announces it's time to go camping.
