So the same V6 diesel going into the Ram 1500 is used in teh Jeep GC, where it is rated at 240hp/420tq. In a recent interview, Fred Diaz said the Ram 1500 diesel will have "Class leading torque" and the EcoBoost F150 is ALREADY rated at 420 lbs-ft.
Hmmm....I'd wager the diesel will be rated higher than 240hp/420tq when they install it in the Ram 1500. It will have to be, to be described as "Class leading". They did it with the 6.7L Cummins.
Another reason to think this:
5.7L Hemi when used in the Jeep GC: 360hp/390tq
5.7L Hemi when used in a Ram 1500: 395hp/407tq
You don't really believe they won't pump up the output a little when it goes between the frame rails of a Ram 1500 do you?
