According to
this guy's experience, economy is great, copied and pasted below.
EconomyBrilliant around town about 10l/100, country 7l/100 and the 2 longer tows that i did came up at 13.3l/100 and 15.7l/100 but the verdict is still out on the towing figures until i do some longer tows.

So, lets take those metric numbers, for those of us of the non-metric persuasion...
Around town, 10 liters/100 km = 23.5 mpg (US gallons).
Country, assuming high speed cruising, 7 liters/100 km = 33.5 mpg (eye popping numbers actually, but I don't doubt them).
Towing reports for what looks like a decent size boat, 2 axles, so more than 3500 lbs and less than 7k lbs. Those are assumptions, but the mpg speaks for itself.
13.31 liters/100 km = 17.67 mpg
15.71 liters/100 km = 14.97 mpg
I know landscapers who would kill for that kind of fuel mileage....goes directly to their bottom line.
33.5 mpg from a half ton truck on the highway...that's a totally different class of fuel economy right there.
Hard to argue with money in your pocket like that. Diesel prices are only 15- 20% more than gas prices, but that's 33% better highway fuel economy than anything on the market.
