The Eco Boost fan boys in this treat crack me up. They seem defensive or scared. The way I see it is this will be a great truck for people that put on more than average mileage per year and have smaller trailer/boat/whatever towing needs. The MPG will be better than the EB.
I was pretty fired up about the EB when it came out...but from the two people I know that actually have them I was left disappointed with their MPG they were actually getting and the towing MPG sounded like it was on par with most V8 gassers.
The Jeep that is coming out claims to get 30HWY MPG and with a 24.6 gal tank has a max range of 730 miles. Personally I'm not too concerned about speed tests...I'd be more concerned about long term econonomics. For the person that puts a ton of miles on this truck this could be the most economical truck on the market.
I have no dog in this fight...I'm not really a fan of any one truck...I like lots of things about lots of trucks and also don't like lots of things about some of the same trucks. I have a Dmax and wish I could have just kept my old half ton Toyota but I needed more capacity.
