Bryan and OJ,
You have both been helpful. Brian, I think you are very correct. When I purchased the 2012 F350 it did not have a Rear Anti Sway Bar. The Dealer offered to order up the Rear Anti Sway Bar parts for me at his price. I thought that sounded pretty good. Having had a slightly older F350 with a HEAVY duty rear Anti Sway Bar...I made the assumption I would be getting a heavy duty unit. When the parts came in I was astounded by the Puny diameter of the actual Anti Sway Bar...I seriously questioned the parts guy and the service manager...The response I got was that the new bar was computer designed to do all that the older larger bar did. I believe that to be B.S. I think it is more like just another example of attempting vehicle WEIGHT reduction.
Since the 2012 truck really seems to have what seems like front aggravated sway....I ordered up a HELLWIG Big Wig front bar. The issue might actually be the coil springs vs the X code Snow Plow springs I had on the last 350. Installed it yesterday. It is truly heavy duty....very much heavier than the stock unit....the diameter of the new one is 1.31 inches. The factory end links seem pretty puny connected to the HELLWIG Anti Sway Bar.
Time will tell..headed out on an extended trip this coming week with the Eagle Cap 950 Camper on board.
I told my wife I may just have to break down and buy the HELLWIG Anti Sway Bar for the Rear!!!!
Thanks
GARY
