Help identify the make, year, model of this trailer

Looks a lot like a mid-50's Aljoa.

Tin can tourists would be my suggestion, too.

You may be able to narrow down the approximate year by what appliances are in it. Get model numbers and contact the appliance manufacturers (if they're still in business) to find out when they made those models.

Hi! Thank you SO much for posting for me, skipro3!! I thought I'd jump in with what I have... The registration lists the number found on the tongue. I have scoured the thing - there are no other numbers anywhere - not on door frames, inside cabinets, windows, rims, taillights or frame. The appraiser came out today and did the same search I did to no avail. DMV registration lists it as a "special trailer" code for Make, no model and the year as 2016. Super helpful, I know.... ;) I have gotten word back from a couple of repair shops in CA and one said Mercury, one said Westerner and I found a Craigslist ad today that looks super similar - a Lancaster. Again, they're not perfect, mine doesn't have a small window above where the bed used to be, so it's hard to match them up. The closest is a Westerner - I've only been able to find pics of '56, so maybe it's a '53 or something. All I'm asking of insurance is to give me enough to cover buying a new one in the same condition as this one, same shape and within a few hours of my house. I got a smokin' deal so I refuse to let them use what I paid as a value marker - what if I had gotten it from my parents for a dollar? What I paid isn't relevant and I won't let them take advantage of that. I want to replace it, not repair it (I hear that's about $8k just to repair the damage the lady did.) I also don't want to wait 2 years like I did for this one. I appreciate all the feedback - it's really helpful!!!!

What does it say on the title?

I've never known a title not to state the make, model, year and VIN or serial number of the vehicle...

If she bought it without a title, she may be SOL.

Maybe a Mercury from the 1950's or 1960's? My family had one in those days. Shape and side window are correct from Google image search.

The picture you posted is from a retro (new) rig. The damaged rig in question could be from a 20 year span, and built by dozens, or more manufacturers. It could also have been repainted, many times in the last half century. Hopefully the VIN, or some sort of builder's ID tag on the trailer will solve the mystery.

As for the party that suffered the damage, it probably isn't going to end well. I could see an insurance co. not willing to shell out more than a few hundred bucks, for what is, in their opinion, something that isn't worth much of anything.
