I think Fred made some good points. Essentially what are you going to do with it and how much would you pay for it!
Personally I'd have no problem buying TT that is out of production if it was in good shape and served my needs. All the utility/appliance devices are the same as typically any other TT, i.e. hot water heater, ac, furnace, fridge, stove etc...
A few things to look at are the tires, roofing material, caulking and any evidence of leaks.
