Personally I'd have no problem buying TT that is out of production if it was in good shape and served my needs. All the utility/appliance devices are the same as typically any other TT, i.e. hot water heater, ac, furnace, fridge, stove etc...
A few things to look at are the tires, roofing material, caulking and any evidence of leaks.
