Help me spend my money!

New to these TT Forums but have had great luck over the years with the TC forums.
Wife wants the space of a TT for future camping trips, so well, you know. I got the boat I wanted.

I'm looking for helpful input on making up a short list of TT's to buy since i'm not on the know with all of the models like I am with TC's. I really want quality and not sure what to look for exactly. This is a huge market compared to TC's, data overload.

Budget-around $30kish new or 1-2 years old.

Truck-In my signature, 02 Super Duty 7.3 with LOTS of mods, beastly and reliable. Not worried about weight.

Wants-Short as possible meeting our wants. My carport is 25' long and would like to get the box portion (roof) under it so 21'-24' with the hitch sticking out a little and covered will work.

Layout-Walk around queen with some privacy a must. Not just opened bed to the LR. Slide. Going short, so a must. Big tanks would be nice. 4 season, we camp 12 months a year.

So early on I like the layout on the Grand design 2150RB, not sure on the quality though. Highland RV LT216RBS looks nice too. I have heard ORV is good, I don't see a model I want with them though. Lance 2155 and 2295 look OK.

I'm early on in the process, so kinda green and haven't kicked any tires yet. I REALLY want quality, something better than average if possible. Thanks for any input.

  • Several Lance TT's sure do meet your wants and they are very high quality TT's. Hard to find a used one as owners seem to keep hanging on to them and that alone says something big about their quality and excellent floorplans. Well insulated for 4 season use too and have very little or no wood in them to rot either.

Another plus is that due to their fine high end state of the art construction materials used and their design, their TT weights are very low. It's something additional that is a plus every time you pull it around year after year and Lance RV's are made to last for many decades and really hold their value and resale price, not just for years like most!
  • Nash, Arctic Fox are the first two I would consider. Bhild in LaGrande,OR on an in house frame by a quality local manufacturer.
