Ditto on the memory foam mattress. We got rid of the mattress that came with our fifth wheel, it was no thicker than a slice of bread. We bought a mattress from Walmart, the outer covering zippered off. We Took the cover off, and marked the mattress where we wanted to cut and then cut the mattress off (if memory serves, we used a long bread knife) put the cover back on and tucked the excess cover under at the head of the bed. The mattress was pretty stiff so we also put a foam topper on it. If you can find one that isn't so firm it would probably be better, they don't get alot of use so they don't break in like one at home. ~Happy Camping~
