Help with my new (to me) Caribou

Thanks Dewclaw! Very helpful, did you ever try and run the fridge on electric while you traveled or just restarted it? I just don't know if it is bad for the pilot light to continue to try and light. I am sure I just haven't turned on the right valves for the hot water heater, seems like there are a ton of valves! Thanks again
