This is awesome, thanks for all the replies! I don't want to be some dip **** that has no idea what he's doing. I've been towing and boating for years but always like to get advice.
I have a long bed 2005 Dodge 2500 with the 5.7L Hemi Head. Crazy how my rig cranks out 345 HP but only 380 lbs of torque. I know it won't be like my diesel but that's okay. Like I said, added airbags and a tork lift tie down. I am looking at extensions from tork lift if I get something with an over hang. Trying to avoid that. Our budget for a camper is 23K (been saving for long ass time) and we're looking at aluminum build to keep weight down.
I assume ratio is 3:73 as 4:10 was a factory add on - but that's just shooting from the hip. Will it really matter in this case? Not towing 15K pounds...
Also, I am getting a new muffler (Super V) like a Flowmaster with a bigger tip. Adding a cold air intake with a throttle spacer as well. Is all this **** a waste of my money? Just want some extra ponies going over the mountains.
