Fords will fit a 33" tall tire in the original spare carrier even with the larger SuperHitch receiver (not sure about others). I use a Michelin 275/70R18 (OEM size on higher trim levels) as a spare which is the same 33" height as my DynaTrac 245/70R19.5. If a rear tire goes flat, I can put the 18" spare on the front and move the 19.5" front to the rear so I have maximum load capacity. Only the widths are different, but that does not matter. I considered only upgrading the rears to 19.5" but found a deal where I could afford to do all four and keep the 18's for spares.
