Hengs escape hatch lid replacement
Im stumped, and missing something.
I just pulled the old escape hatch lid of my 06 six pac in order to replace it with a new hengs unit (the old one is in bad shape and probably not worth fiberglassing.) I for the life of me can not figure out why the lid falls out of the hinge when bedding the lid. Te hing style is continuous metal opposing 'C'. I had to slide the old one out, but the new one just pushes back in, no need to slide. In fact, the old one does that now as well. Is there some trick to getting these things to hold together?
