I believe the transfer fee was around $500 last time I heard. I also believe it included the free stinger exchange but they may have changed that policy. In my opinion that is way overpriced and not needed. You can always find used stingers and replacement parts are not too expensive in the unlikely event you would need them.
I rebuilt my hitch several years ago and only spent around $50 in parts. Have never bent a strut and even if I did, the replacement part would not cost near $500. The same goes for the jacks. There is not much else to replace without purchasing a whole new hitch.
I would save the transfer fee and just put the money in the bank instead.
