Mello Mike, Whazoo, DJ, Sabaconsulting, btggraphix & DJ, you all have perfect rigs.
Unimog, just too big, oversized, awkward, too high, etc.
I had n Australian vehicle called an OKA. www.okakalgoorlie.com.au
It had seating for nine in total comfort, three rows of coach seats, with an 8 x 6 ft rear tray.
It's wheels tracked 10-12 inches wider than a conventional 4WD and had a a 1000lb weight Bull
Bar at the front . But for four wheel driving, you had to make your own tracks, as wheels were over
Track size. So you find your self skating awkwardly at speed, on gravel or sand tracks. It had an eight ton PTO winch and a small crane/Hiab in the rear tray.
It would knock down small trees, then you look in rear mirror and they popup again.
In tall grass, and on any road, you were much higher.
Had a lot of fun, but not practical. Amazing vehicle!
