- Buzzcut1Nomad IIIf I wanted to pull a trailer all over hell I would buy a TT or a fifthwheel. I prefer the if I can park the truck I am camped simplicity of a TC
- free_radicalExplorerI've seen similar idea while back somewhere on the net, where a TC would tip over and got pulled onto a truck by some kind of puller winch mechanism..
Was on a flatbed truck though..
The company was someplace in BC I think.. - rexlionExplorerIn a way, putting a TC on a flatbed trailer is an interesting idea I'd never considered before. One can get the TC to sit lower than it would in a pickup bed, so fuel economy would be a little better. With a somewhat longer tongue than the one pictured, the TC could be towed by an SUV. Hitch weight could be easily adjusted by varying the load position forward or back. And one could tow a heavier TC with a 1/2 ton pickup than the pickup could carry.
- Reddog1Explorer IIWhat I really find interesting is that I frequently see post by people complaining of no creativity and bad quality TCs. I gotta say, just talk. Unfortunately, most of us are monkey see, monkey do. We go with the most hype from other monkeys.
Wayne - billygExplorerDo you think a rubber mat is used in the bed to keep it from sliding around?:h
- joeshmoeExplorer IIIGood example of over engineering
- HMS_BeagleExplorerI remember seeing them when they were first produced, seemed like a pretty neat concept. There are a couple of other self-loading campers around, but there require more specialization of the truck bed.
