This is a neat topic! We started with a VW Campmobile in the 1960's. I used it as a sales tool selling lots at a vacation community in Ocean City. Maryland and for several trips to and around Mexico towing Bultaco dirt bikes. Our three children were with us for every excursion. At the finish of the sales at Ocean Pines, we bought a 41' ketch the "Imagine" and for the next 23 years we lived aboard, schooled our kids, and sailed for 150,000+ nautical miles. We literally wore her out.
As our retirement time approached in 2003, realizing sailing entailed to much of everything, Linda saw a TC coming off the beach while we were tent camping at Assateague Island. The die was cast! As intrepid wanderers the chain is unbroken, our TC has been, for us, the perfect vehicle to keep us active and stimulated to travel to see the wonders of our planet and meet the many and varied souls that populate it.
Having the Internet, this site, the many several gatherings ie. the Mid-Atlantic TC Rally etc , along with the great www.truckcampermagazine.com, have been an extraordinary plus for the enjoyment of our adventures. We, you and I, are the Lucky Ducks that have discovered this super path. Roll On !
