Nice! Looks like your truck with it's capabilities won't even have to breath hard to tow that.
Thanks!
And 10-4. That was the idea. This will be great for now but I never wanted to not have enough truck, short of buying a dually (at the time I didn’t like them, and I own one already). Wanted to be able to get anything reasonable and be able to haul it wether it be this for now, or a fifth wheel in the future. Also can handle a lot of pin weight.
And yeah you know it’s back there, but I’m still dealing with a proper hitch setup. I still believe that weight distribution is necessary. But for that 50 mile tow home there were no problems other than my adjustable hitch being one or two notches too low. Have yet to take the whole thing to a flat parking lot to take measurements. - TvovExplorer IINice! Looks like your truck with it's capabilities won't even have to breath hard to tow that.
- getpower1ExplorerHere’s our new to us trailer. Doesn’t look like much but can’t argue with free. Waiting on some roofing material that will hopefully be here tomorrow, replaced the original tires from 2002, need to redo wheel bearings, and transfer everything over from the camper (in profile at bottom. Will update when I get a chance), and button and tune a few things up. I’m sure we will find some more things that need work, but our first trip with it is scheduled in about four weeks!.
I’m excited to move to a larger space from our truck camper. Wife, a seven month old, and three dogs all on the cabover bed was getting to be too much. - trailer_newbeExplorer IIIFool Hollow, just got back today.
- VarmintmistExplorerThanks, Great minds think alike. Your sig seems ,,,,,, familiar :)
- LwiddisExplorer III hardly ever hook to anything. Consider a solar system and then water becomes your only limiting factor.
- TvovExplorer IILooks great!
- VarmintmistExplorerHowdy, I am a brand newbie when it comes to rving. Camping I have done. From car camping to over 100 mi self support kayaking. However, last time I broke out a tent, I decided that I was old. Looked for a while and I think I got a decent deal on a 19 leftover.
so here is the home away from home. New 2019 Surveyor, (241rble if interested)
The 07 F250 couldnt decide if there was anything there worth noticing or not. Went up a test hill accelerating so not so much.
I love the idea that I have read here about camping in the driveway. Since the first time I pull it will be "dry" camp, that is an awesome idea. I like test before you need it. So the mutt and I will probably be sleeping in the front yard next week. - badercubedExplorer2019 Apex Nano 208BHS
First trip planned in a month. Big downsize but the kids are excited! The combination of weight/options was easily the best I could find. - 2Rad4UExplorer IIIThanks. The 2500 is a game changer for sure!
