nice RV too - mudsharkExplorerThis is my first post to this site. Hope the link to my pics works.
After camping for the last 20+ years in different sized tents, a 1970 Coleman tent trailer and then a 1990 Starcraft tent trailer, last summer we finally decided to purchase a 2013 Roo 19' Hybrid. It was a great trailer, and we really liked it but after about 2 months and a rainy long weekend with 5 kids and a big dog we decided that as much as we liked the Roo, it just was still a little too small. When I purchased, I originally planned on hauling it around but after finding a decent campground where some of our family stays seasonally we decided on parking something there full time. Something around the size of a 32BHDS.
After looking around online and a few RV shows we found a 2013 Catalina 38BH from a local dealer and for a great price. Sold! I guess this is a new layout/model for 2013 so I haven't been able to find a whole lot of customer reviews on the trailer.
For us this floorplan works awesome, there's alot of storage, nice finishes, large bathroom, more features than I can go through on here and from what I could tell on a few walkthroughs so far, the build and finish quality seems nicely done. The dealer will be towing it and setting it up at our seasonal site as soon as the CG opens so I don't have to worry about hauling it. Probably a little heavy for a civic
Nice site, lots of info. Cheers!

- chr_ExplorerMy New Rig. A 2010 Keystone Nomad 2020 hooked up to my 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin V8 AWD.
First thing I did was replace the 13.5K BTU Dometic AC with a 15K Carrier Low Profile Heat Pump. In the process, I noticed all the ductwork was sloppy and leaked most of the air in to the attic space. Foil taped all of that and the registers. Took care of the Furnace too. - HeathJohnsonExplorer

It is refreshing to see somebody towing with plenty of truck. I get so tired of all the threads about 'can I get by with the tow vehicle I have'. You have more than enough truck and I know that adds to the enjoyment and safety of the tow. The trailer is not too shabby, either.
I agree!
I third that. My brother Big Juan (here on RV.net) was over while I was packing up one day. He pulls a Jayco 26' (no slide) BH with a 1/2 ton Yukon XL and he said he pays VERY close attention to how much weight he has. I was loading up our 26' (no slide) Springdale BH and I just kept throwing suff in and throwing stuff in and he asked me how much does all this stuff weigh and I replied that I didn't know and he looked shocked. He then asked me what I take with me and I said that I take whatever I want. Ahhh, the joys of using an Excursion to pull your camper... - ReneeGExplorer
