ugh, I think it won't let me post the links, I have been trying. The water issue I found in the grand design owners forum, and the rest I just google grand design rv reviews and looked at what was there. I didn't really see much bad, but there seemed to be a lot of it wasn't the quality I expected for the price. I don't mind paying 30k for a tiny camper but if I can get the same quality without a dog dish under the fridge for 17k then I'm going to go with the cheaper option.
I prefer to boondock. My trailer follows my truck up dirt roads, over off camber hills, through mud and sand. I can count on one hand the number of times I have spent the night in developed rv sites with hookups. My ultralight was not made to handle what I normally do. I'm beating the snot out of it. It's paid for, so I'll keep on abusing the trailer until I can afford something sturdier. (I refuse to finance recreational things.) Just know... if you like to go off pavement, you really do want a heavier, better built trailer. And that will cost you unless you find a screaming deal on something used.
