First I have a Grand Design 2150RB and while I have only owned it 6 months no problems with water in the underbelly. The interior quality is equal to Northwood (I know as I've owned 2 AF 5th wheels).
The ones where this is a problem are the 5th wheel units. Also GD was just purchased by Winnebago. Their customer service is excellent. Can't say that for most of the others.
All RV's will have some problems. Does not matter if 10K or 100K. You are hauling a box down the road in earthquake conditions.
That being said some manufacturers are better than others in quality and customer service.
Jayco was also just bought out also.
I also looked at Lance, but their quality did not meet my standards.
TT manufacturers that get high marks are Airstream, Northwood products and KZ.
Just remember all are hand made and are subject to quality problems.
Once you select the trailer of choice make sure you do a complete Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI). Should take 2-3 hours.
Lastly look at all the owners forums of the TT's your interested in prior to making your decision, but keep in mind generally the most info on the forums will be about problems. People who have no problems generally don't provide input.
Good Luck and take your time in selecting a TT.
I almost mentioned that the only ones I found were for hydraulic actuated slides, and that it was implied that the leaking was happening around that specific hardware. None of which applies to the Imagine line. On another note, I often search for good floorplans that don't include slides. Some are nice, but you always sacrifice something, usually floor and counter space. For weekends that's probably OK. For extended trips, likely not. The Imagine remains at the top of my shopping list.
