I didn't design the test protocols for the EPA, but I suspect it auto makers had say in them. If a auto maker iss off a couple miles per gallon thats on thing. But Ford knew what the true capabilities are of there vehicles. Putting the blame on the EPA is a joke and only hurts them in the end.
All manufacturers due extensive testing of their vehicles before they ever hit the road. So they know exactly what the ture mileage is before the end consumer ever gets there hands on them. It would be much better if they reported those numbers or something close to them. The EPA is not going to care if you report lower numbers for the hybrids including the EB.
If the test for these vehicles need to be changed then they should do it. But again Ford knew these vehicles would not come close to hitting those ratings in real world test. So why list them as factual and piss of your customers.
I suspect that you know this and are just pissed that someone as dumb as me could figure it out, right tex?
